Paisley Society of Magicians

Paisley Society of Magicians

The Paisley Society of Magicians was formed in 1925 in Paisley. Very little is known of the club other than that it applied to the Scottish Conjurers Association to be affiliated. They were accepted and designated Clan two. The Society only lasted a short time as they were expelled from the S.C.A because the Society was sectarian, all members being Catholic. This was probably due to the fact that the group was set up as part of the activities of the Knights of Saint Columba a highly respected Catholic organisation.
